On August 25, 1992, the Shiwan Xinshi Fine Ceramics Factory was established in Shengtang Village, Qicha Administrative District, Lanshi Town, Shiwan;
The company was founded to help a client resolve a ceramic parts supply issue. Xue Xirong borrowed 400,000 yuan in his personal capacity, and with an additional 380,000 yuan contributed by the Jiangxi Pangu Mountain Mining Company—for a total of 780,000 yuan—he partnered with two postgraduates from prestigious universities to co-found the company.

Due to technical shortcomings, all the products that came out of the kiln were defective, causing the company’s cash flow to dry up. It accumulated 1.57 million yuan in debt, failed to pay employees’ wages for three consecutive months, went more than two months without paying electricity bills, and even reached a point one day at noon when there wasn’t even enough money to buy groceries.
In October 1993, the company was forced to liquidate. By November 6, 1993, Mr. Xue Xirong, then one of the shareholders of Xinshi Fine Ceramics Factory, took over operations, voluntarily assumed all debts, and signed repayment agreements with all creditors. The enterprise was also restructured from a joint-stock company into a privately-owned sole proprietorship.

Guangfulong Secrets of Kyocera’s Success

In 1998, the factory’s lease expired and they were forced to relocate; if they reinvested their meager savings, it would be tantamount to taking on new debt. Chairman Xue Xirong spent a sleepless night wrestling with the question: What was the point of running a business? His wife urged him to take the over 1 million and call it quits, but he couldn’t bring himself to abandon his employees and customers. Amid his confusion, he reread *The Secrets of Kyotou Company’s Rise*, and through it, he had an epiphany: “A company must contribute to the well-being of its employees and society.” He resolved that, no matter how much effort it took, he would keep the company running.
In June 1999, he established Kangrong’s Business Philosophy 1.0: “To seek both material and spiritual well-being for employees; to create products and services that deliver high customer satisfaction; and to contribute our efforts to the progress, health, and prosperity of human society.”
In 2005, Chairman Xue Xirong and his wife donated a multimedia classroom to Dujiangyan Primary School; in 2008, he spearheaded a donation of over 190,000 yuan to the Wenchuan earthquake-stricken area and established the “Kangrong Mutual Aid and Public Welfare Fund”; in 2013, he contributed over 2 million yuan to build a cultural activity center in his hometown and repair village roads. Inspired by his spirit of altruism, Kangrong formed its own volunteer team that carries out volunteer services year-round, while also actively donating funds and resources to organizations such as Pineapple Rescue and the Red Cross.
Subsequently, he initiated the Guangdong Shenghe Academy and co-founded the Mingxin Academy, extending this spirit of altruism from within the company to the industry and society at large. The seeds of conscience blossom into altruism; corporate responsibility lays the foundation for a century of success.

I. The Beginning
In 1989, Chairman Xue Xirong read 《The Secrets Behind the Rise of Japan’s Kyotou Company》 and was deeply impressed by the prospects of specialty ceramics, which sparked his initial desire to start a business and marked the beginning of his enduring connection with Kazuo Inamori.
In 1992, to ensure a steady supply of ceramic parts for his clients, he took out a personal loan of 400,000 yuan with their support and, combined with a 380,000 yuan investment from the mine, established a factory with a total capital of 780,000 yuan.
In 1993, due to technical shortcomings, the factory went into liquidation, leaving a debt of 1.57 million yuan. While his partners expressed a willingness to assume the debt and continue operations, the clients said, “ ‘I only trust you, Xue Xirong.’” Faced with the massive debt,
Faced with the massive debt, Chairman Xue Xirong once despaired so deeply that he attempted suicide, but while underwater, he had an epiphany: “If I’m not even afraid of death, what else is there to fear?” In October 1993, Chairman Xue Xirong resolutely took over the factory and voluntarily assumed all the debt, marking the beginning of his arduous entrepreneurial journey.

I. Going abroad · Shining on the global stage
In April 1998, Chairman Xue Xirong traveled to Hannover, Germany, for the first time as part of a delegation to attend a professional lighting exhibition. The booths of international giants, cutting-edge technologies, and stringent standards left him both awestruck and with a renewed sense of reality. Upon returning to China, he made up his mind: Kangrong must obtain European and American certifications in order to truly expand into international markets.
By the end of that same year, Kangrong had obtained China’s first VDE and UL certifications for the GU10 lamp base, filling a gap in the domestic market. Subsequently, he traveled to Japan on multiple occasions to learn from century-old ceramics companies, visited Cree in the United States, and met with senior executives at Philips in Europe to deepen cooperation. In 2000, the G9 lamp base took Europe and the United States by storm, and in 2007, the company returned to the International Lighting Exhibition in Poland. Today, Kangrong’s products are exported to more than 20 countries and regions worldwide, serving world-class clients such as Philips, IKEA, Osram, GE, Panasonic, USHIO, and NVC.

II. Sincerity as Deep as the Divine · Effort That Rivals Anyone’s
Chairman Xue Xirong deeply understands the importance of integrity and responsibility. In 1999, due to a delay in an order, the general manager of a Japanese client personally visited the factory to follow up on the order but found no one there, and left in a huff. At the time, he had been stuck on the highway for two hours; upon returning to the factory, he worked through the night until 1:00 a.m., then went to the client’s door carrying a stick to humbly apologize. This sincerity resolved the misunderstanding and earned the client’s lifelong trust.
It is precisely this dedication—working “as hard as anyone else”—along with a strong determination and a will as unyielding as rock, that has driven Kangrong to continuously break new ground.
III. Intentional Attention, Breaking Through with Innovation
After thinking about it day and night, the idea of “one device, multiple modes” was born.
In 1999, to meet the daily demand of 100,000 units from U.S. customers, Chairman Xue Xirong racked his brains day and night and came up with the idea of “one machine, multiple modes,” which quadrupled production efficiency and achieved the miracle of a product that recouped its investment in the same year it was launched. Subsequently, he led his team to become the first in China to develop LED ceramic heat sinks and composite ceramic heat dissipation materials, and successfully cracked the core technological challenges of 5G ceramic filters. It is precisely this keen “intentional attention” and the bold vision of “capabilities yet to come” that have enabled Kangrong to expand from lighting components into cutting-edge fields such as new energy and 5G communications, turning the impossible into reality time and time again.
With Intentional Attention, Pioneering the G9 Era
Chairman Xue Xirong firmly believes in Kazuo Inamori’s concept of “deliberate attention”—that by staying focused on the smallest details, inspiration will never run dry. In 2000, he faced difficulties installing halogen lamp sockets imported from abroad; he pondered the problem day and night but could not find a solution. One evening, a light bulb at home failed to light up, and his wife asked him to replace it. The moment he unscrewed the screw-in bulb, a sudden flash of inspiration struck him: by adding external threads to the ceramic lamp base, the bulb could be secured directly. He immediately sketched a rough design, and his team worked through the night to produce a prototype. As soon as the G9 lamp holder was launched, it was widely embraced by customers. The product obtained certifications in Europe and the United States, as well as multiple patents. After debuting at a European trade show, the “Kangrong” brand became a household name among lighting companies in Europe and the United States.

IV. Continuous Self-Improvement, Embracing Chinese Classics
In 2007, Chairman Xue Xirong immersed himself in a class on traditional Chinese culture. After devoting himself to studying the *Tao Te Ching*, the *Analects*, and *The Art of War*, he had a sudden epiphany: Inamori’s philosophy and Chinese culture share a common heritage. Upon rereading the “Twelve Principles of Management” at that moment, the philosophical seeds buried deep within his heart were fully awakened.

From 2010 to 2011, Chairman Xue Xirong studied《The Great Wisdom of Leaping Forward in a Recession》《The Art of Living》 and 《The Autobiography of Kazuo Inamori》. Drawing on Inamori’s management philosophy, he advanced a diversified business strategy. Building on the company’s core business in advanced ceramics, he capitalized on market trends to expand into both upstream and downstream segments of the industry chain. He accurately assessed that new electronic ceramic materials represented a strategic national priority with significant potential for domestic substitution and long-term growth prospects. Acting decisively, he established a presence in the field of core substrates for electronic components, founding Sihui Kangrong New Materials Co., Ltd. and Changsha Kangrong New Materials Co., Ltd.

Thanks to forward-looking strategic planning, electronic ceramics have now become a core growth driver for the Group. With mature processes, consistent quality, and continuously expanding production capacity, the product portfolio covers electronic ceramic substrates, ceramic resistor housings, ceramic fuse tubes, and other categories, serving numerous globally renowned clients. This achievement fully attests to Chairman Xue Xirong’s long-term strategic vision, precise judgment, and the power of Inamori’s management philosophy.
In 2017, he established the corporate creed “Respect the Principles of Heaven, Follow One’s Conscience” and the Kangrong Core Philosophy 2.0. He championed a spirit of hard work, drove digital transformation, and—drawing on practical business experience—developed management concepts such as the Kangrong version of “Two Studies, Two Practices, Two Focuses” and the “Eight Principles and Nine-Character Formula for Digital Management,” thereby continuously refining the management system.
“Two Studies, Two Practices, Two Focuses”:
Two Studies: Study the philosophy of Inamori and traditional Chinese culture; study professional knowledge and skills.
Two Practices: Practice Amoeba Management and lean production.
Two Focuses: Focus on minimizing expenses and maximizing sales.

In 2021, despite the global pandemic and challenging international trade conditions, he demonstrated exceptional strategic resolve by launching the construction of the new headquarters building against the odds. The building was officially opened in 2025, laying a solid foundation for the company’s long-term development and the well-being of its employees. He led his team in establishing core business segments—including lighting, structural ceramics, ceramic electronic components, and ceramic positioning antennas—while proactively expanding into high-growth sectors such as new energy vehicles, next-generation communications and the low-altitude economy, semiconductor AI computing power, and the Internet of Everything.
Rooted in the culture of China’s ancient sages, Wang Yangming’s School of Mind, and the philosophy of Inamori, Kangrong integrates Huawei’s business philosophy with Western management wisdom, empowering operations through culture and driving development through innovation.
Chairman Xue Xirong is comprehensively advancing digital transformation and smart manufacturing upgrades, committed to building a highly profitable and employee-centric enterprise that empowers future industries with advanced ceramic technology.

In 1989, Mr. Xue Xirong first read *The Secrets Behind the Rise of Kyocera*, which brought him into lifelong connection with Kazuo Inamori. Since founding his company, he has consistently applied these principles to his personal conduct and business management; whenever one of Inamori’s books is published, he is sure to purchase and study it immediately.
In 2010, through an introduction by Mr. Makoto Fukui—a former chairman of the Kyocera labor union—he met Professor Cao Xiuyun and joined the Wuxi Seiwajuku. Entrusted by Professor Cao with the task of establishing the Guangdong Seiwajuku, he spared no effort in coordinating and organizing the initiative to secure an opportunity for a face-to-face meeting with Mr. Inamori, ultimately assembling a Guangdong delegation of nearly sixty people. On June 11 of that same year, he led the delegation to Beijing for the conference, where he met Mr. Inamori, fulfilling a long-cherished wish of more than 20 years, and successfully invited Mr. Inamori to attend the Guangzhou lecture the following year. Subsequently, he joined forces with several other founders to prepare for the Guangzhou lecture and was elected as the first Chairman of the Guangdong Seiwajuku.

In 2011, under the leadership of Chairman Xue Xirong, the Guangzhou Seminar on Kazuo Inamori’s Management Philosophy was successfully held, bringing together nearly 2,000 entrepreneurs from China and abroad. Kazuo Inamori personally unveiled the plaque for the Guangdong Shenghe Juku, and CCTV’s “Dialogue” program filmed an on-site report, establishing a platform for the business community to study management philosophy and explore business principles together.

In 2013, Chairman Xue visited the Sixth Patriarch Temple, where he was first introduced to Wang Yangming’s School of Mind; beginning in 2016, he formally embarked on a path of systematic study, deepening his knowledge through both the Shenghe Academy and the “Seeking the True Knowledge” learning platform, thereby integrating the philosophy of Inamori with Wang Yangming’s School of Mind.
In 2023, together with a group of fellow practitioners, he founded the Mingxin Academy in Foshan, dedicated to spreading the traditional Chinese culture and business philosophy of “Zhilangzhi.” Moving from self-cultivation to benefiting all under heaven, he promotes the wisdom of the sages and saints in this altruistic community, bringing widespread benefit to all sentient beings.
